Who we are

The Friends of St Patricks Cemetery is a dedicated group of volunteers.

Together we share our skills and time to ensure the preservation of this historically significant site in the heart of Parramatta, NSW.

Friends of St Patrick’s Cemetery engages with the community through:

  • Monthly meetings - held the first Tuesday of each month

  • Participation in Council and community heritage events

  • On site tours

  • Providing historical information about the Cemetery via this website

    • Read about the history and value of St Patrick’s Cemetery

    • Family history buffs can research who’s buried in the Cemetery

We collaborate with and complement the work of City of Parramatta Parks and Open Spaces Team, custodians of the Cemetery, and plan strategies for long-term maintenance , way-finding, and protection of the site.

We acknowledge and thank St Patrick’s Cathedral and Diocese for its ongoing support.
